Ulemj's recent mixed media works are directly derived from her memories of Japan. These works have been inspired by the people, the verbal and the non-verbal communication, the silence as well as the inner and outer landscapes that were experienced. Her work exudes an air of mystery and are fragile while also being bold at the same time.
